How to really stimulate the (world) economy

Kiva - loans that change lives

I’ve recently discovered Kiva.org and became a loaner. It’s easy to see that the concept of microfinance would improve the quality of life of borrowers/entrepreneurs in the underdeveloped countries around the world. One’s life improvement means overall improvement of the person’s community, region, and country. I think of this as helping your neighbors and in return, the neighbors who are able the help themselves contribute back to the society. It’s a grand concept that would gradually improve the world economy and eventually help eliminate poverty and world hunger.
