Study: Ethanol Worse for Climate than Gasoline
I’ve been saying that ethanol is just a short-term solution that doesn’t really help improve the environment. Worse, it only temporary addresses the oil dependency issue but not the other important issue of climate change. Vehicles with ethanol still produce emissions that causes global warming.
It’s extremely frustrating to know that at one point, we were attempting to improve and expand the development of the electric car so that it’d be practical and widely available. But thanks to Alan Lloyd, who was the head of the California Air Resources Board, the oil and car industries, and the Bush administration who did everything in their power to kill the development of the electric car.
I wish the politicians would stop being so gung-ho about ethanol and start looking at the zero emission vehicle.
